She was practically raised in the dunes with her first trip to the Glamis, CA started from the young age of 1. Her parents bought her very first ATV, a Yamaha Zinger, at the age of 3. From then on she was hooked. Her and the entire family spent most weeks during the year riding and enjoying the dunes and the desert. This is where she learned from and early age how to ride dirt bikes and ATV’s and drove her to have the passion for the desert and to race. Laura originally started racing in the WORCS series on her Yamaha YFZ450 in the women’s class. She was pursuing her passion of racing when she met Brian Willison.

The chance of meeting was fueled by both of them and their love of the desert and dune riding. She pushed Brian to race his then stock 2 seat Polaris RZR 1000 even though it was built for dune riding.

The racing duo then thought of sharing a SXS after Laura watched Brian fall in love with racing his Polaris RZR, but with different preferences Laura decided it was time to get her own and join the action.  Laura started racing at the tail end of the 2017 season with her first ever UTV race being Round #8 of WORCS in Cedar City, Utah and came away with a 6th place finish in her RZR 1000. Her competitive nature and drive combined with racing passion are an unbeatable combination for the 2017 season and she took home a top 10 finish in the series with only having raced 4 of the 11 races for that 2017 season.  Laura is determined on and off the track in racing as well as in growing her business Ace Motorsports in Upland CA and her brand as a racer.

For the 2018 Season Laura felt it was time to kick her race program into high gear and parter with some of the best SXS companies in the market to ensure she would have podium finishes in the 2018 Season.

With entering the 2018 season into an unlimited class Laura took her RZR 1000 and upgraded to a brand new 2018 Polaris RZR Turbo. She has had a great start to this years 2018 season with podium finishes in every one of her Women Classes Races for the 2018 Season in WORCS and The Dirt Series, along with multiple podiums ins the UTV Turbo class. Laura is Currently in The in 2nd in The Women’s SXS class and 6th place in the Turbo class out of 17 with only competing in 3 of the 6 races.

The goal for 2018 is to come away with a class championship in the WORCS Women’s SXS class.

She has had a lot to learn with her new Polaris RZR Turbo and has taken the challenge with open arms and has had to work extremely hard at her craft of racing to be able to build and adapt in a new car in a short amount of time. With the determination and great work ethic she will continue to be a force to recon with in the off road community.

One of Laura’s accomplishments of 2018 was racing the Pro class in the UTV  World Championship. With a great start on the front line she ran a flawless fast race for the first 45 miles when disaster struck and she had a belt failure. The Nevada desert heat combined with the fast pace she was running took its toll. But being the strong and determined racer she changed that belt on the side of the track and didn’t let the failure slow her down and deter her from finishing strong finishing in the top 1/3 of the SXS that day.

Laura is now looking towards the future as she is going to finish the rest of WORCS and strives to take home a championship in her rookie year. The 2019 Series Brings a lot of new excitement and challenges and she is fully Prepared to put in the work necessary as she is moving into the Pro Class and takes on more races in the “Pure” series and Best in the Desert as team ACE Motorsports starts to build its new desert car to be in 2019.
